ASJ Group manufactures and distributes quality resistors and other essential electronic components to support local and international customers from diverse market segments. Founded in January 14, 1980 and based in Singapore, ASJ has an extensive international network with presence in Asia, Europe and USA.

ASJ was listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore in January 1997, making us the first resistor manufacturer to be listed on the Singapore bourse. In 2002, ASJ was listed on Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange.

With a history of more than twenty years in the manufacture and distribution of quality resistors together with advance manufacturing equipment and proprietary production process, ASJ is poised for global growth and gears to be a world player in resistor technology. Our ISO9002 certified facility in Singapore produces resistors that are essential components used as current regulators for electrical and electronic circuitry. We develop and continuously improve our process technologies to manufacture our resistors efficiently meeting stringent quality standards and within a competitive cost structure framework. Our reliability test program ensures our resistors meet the highest international standards (MIL, JIS, EIA). In our strive for recognized standards of quality, we have attainted QS 9000 Certification in 2001.

The Group's competitive edge is derived from its ability to provide customers with quality products in 'quick-turn' services through automated manufacturing facilities and a computerized distribution system. We achieve our goals of continuous improvement in efficiency and quality through our consistent on-going investment in the latest technology, manufacturing equipment, and human resource development.

ASJ's manufacturing facility in Singapore consists of a two-storey factory located within the Jurong Industrial Estate and has a built-in area of 11,713 sq m. The factory building comprises an office, production and warehouse facilities. To meet growing demand for resistors in the region and worldwide, a second customised and automated manufacturing plant in Senai, Johor was inaugurated in February 2001.

The Group expanded its operations in the PRC - with its own distribution hub set up in Hong Kong at end December 2003 and a third manufacturing plant set up in ShenZhen in year 2004.

Headquartered in Singapore, our sales coverage extended beyond Singapore with the establishment of direct and representative offices in Malaysia, Europe, South Korea, Thailand, India, PRC and the United States of America.

With the projection of growth in this industry, we are committed to position ASJ as one of the largest Chip Resistors manufacturer in South Asia.

Distribution

Complementing our manufacturing operations, we also distribute other electronic and non-electronic components under distributorship and sales representative arrangements with our principals. This distribution business is carried out by our wholly-owned subsidiary, Scan Technology (S) Pte Ltd.

Scan Technology (S) Pte Ltd was established in 1987 with the basic business charter of representing and distributing electronic components from product principals for territories covering Singapore and Malaysia.

Over the years our product offerings has grown to include semiconductors, passive components, interconnecting and electro-mechanical devices.

Equipped with complete stocking and logistics infrastructure, our principals range include household names of Atmel, Chilisin, Diotec, Elna, HK Crystals, ILSI, Johanson and Kycon.

Our major customers are mainly Original Equipment Manufacturers and Contract Manufacturers from diverse industry segments ranging from Computer Peripherals, Consumer, Industrial, Automotive, Internet and Telecommunications.
